Steven F. Johnson, MD, FACS
Cardio-thoracic surgery

Dr. Johnson is a Montgomery native who completed a residency in general surgery at the University 0012JohnsonSteve310x153 of Kentucky Medical Center, where he also served as a research fellow and was chief resident in general surgery. He completed a second residency in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He was also a research fellow in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in physical sciences.

Dr. Johnson performs more than 300 thoracic surgeries annually, including coronary artery bypass grafting, carotid endarterectomy, heart valve repairs and replacements, aortic surgeries, pneumonectomies, lobectomies and other procedures.

Dr. Johnson is double board certified in surgery and cardiothoracic surgery. He joined Southeastern Cardiovascular Associates in July 1996.

He has two children and enjoys hunting, fishing and boating.

 

John E. Streitman, MD
Cardio-thoracic surgery

Dr. Streitman was born in Atlanta and raised in south Texas. He completed his internship and 0361Streitman310x153 residency in general surgery at Scott & White Memorial Hospital – Texas A&M Health Science Center in Temple, Texas, and a residency in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He graduated Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas with bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry.

Dr. Streitman performs a full spectrum of cardiothoracic procedures including: coronary bypass surgery, valve repair and replacement including minimally invasive approaches, surgery for atrial fibrillation, lung and esophageal surgery and peripheral vascular surgery including endovascular procedures. He is trained in complex cardiac operations including thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm repair and re-operative cardiac surgery.

Dr. Streitman is double board certified in general surgery and thoracic surgery. He joined Southeastern Cardiovascular Associates in May 2010.

Dr. Streitman, the father of two children, is a golfer and a musician.

 

Elias R. Quintos, MD
Cardio-thoracic surgery

Dr. Quintos is a native of the Philippines and completed separate residencies in surgery and 0245QuintosElias310x153 cardiothoracic surgery at the State University of New York in Stony Brook and Syracuse, N.Y. Dr. Quintos received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, La., and his bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the State University of New York.

Dr. Quintos has experience in an array of procedures including on and off pump coronary artery revascularization, heart valve repair and replacement; thoracic aortic repair; pacemaker implantation and removal; robotic and video-assisted lung surgery; esophageal surgery; chest wall reconstruction; diaphragmatic repair; carotid endarterectomy; anterior exposure, and the maze procedure for atrial fibrillation.

Dr. Quintos is double board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He joined Southeastern Cardiovascular Associates in February 2014.

Dr. Quintos and his wife have three children. He enjoys playing tennis, bicycling, boating and navigation.
