Each year, one in three adults age 65 and older falls. Falls can cause moderate to severe injuries, such as hip fractures and head injuries, and can increase the risk of early death.
Falls are a public health problem that is largely preventable.
As a public service, SAMC's Neuromuscular Rehab & Balance Center is hosting a Falls Risk Screening to promote awareness about falls risk and balance. The screenings are free.
Participants should RSVP by May 13 to participate in the screenings. Please call (334) 712-3726 to schedule a time.
